Defending our policies and platform-
According to the National Center for Education Statistics, there is a persistent achievement gap between students of different racial and socioeconomic backgrounds in the US (source: https://nces.ed.gov/fastfacts/display.asp?id=171). That is why it is imperative that we institute laws to create equal access to high quality education for all students.
Research has shown that providing equitable access to high-quality education can improve academic outcomes and reduce disparities in achievement (source: https://www.nber.org/papers/w18608).
Not getting involved with India's protests/civil unrest:
India is currently facing a variety of protests and civil unrest related to issues such as farmers' rights and religious freedom (source: https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2021/2/10/why-indias-farmers-are-protesting-against-new-laws).
Liberated United's position on this issue is based on a belief in respecting the sovereignty and autonomy of other nations.
Abolishing the death penalty:
The use of the death penalty in the US has been controversial and has come under scrutiny due to concerns about wrongful convictions and racial disparities in sentencing (source: https://www.aclu.org/issues/capital-punishment).
Many countries have abolished the death penalty, and research has suggested that the death penalty does not have a significant deterrent effect on crime (source: https://www.amnestyusa.org/issues/death-penalty/death-penalty-facts/death-penalty-deterrence/).
Continuing to aid Ukraine throughout the war:
Ukraine has been in a state of conflict since 2014, when Russia annexed Crimea and fighting broke out in eastern Ukraine (source: https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-52772806).
The US has been providing aid to Ukraine, both in the form of military aid and economic support (source: https://www.state.gov/u-s-relations-with-ukraine/).
Liberated United's position on this issue is based on a belief in supporting democratic institutions and sovereignty in other countries.
Minimum security requirements and training for armed teachers:
There have been a number of school shootings in the US in recent years, leading to calls for increased school security measures (source: https://www.edweek.org/leadership/school-shootings-and-school-safety-in-numbers/2018/08).
Some advocates have suggested that arming teachers may be a way to improve school safety (source: https://www.npr.org/2018/03/08/591753911/the-debate-over-arming-teachers).
However, there are concerns about the risks associated with arming teachers and the potential for accidental shootings or misuse of firearms (source: https://www.npr.org/2019/03/19/704799908/arming-teachers-weighing-risks-in-florida).
Protecting affirmative action laws:
Affirmative action policies have been implemented in the US to address historical and ongoing discrimination against marginalized groups, particularly in the workplace and in college admissions (source: https://www.aclu.org/other/affirmative-action).
However, there have been legal challenges to affirmative action, and some argue that these policies are unfair or unnecessary (source: https://www.heritage.org/progressivism/commentary/affirmative-action-unfair-unconstitutional-and-bad-policy).
Raising minimum wage:
The federal minimum wage in the US has not been raised since 2009, and many workers struggle to make ends meet on the current minimum wage of $7.25/hour (source: https://www.epi.org/publication/minimum-wage
Attack and Policies-
Houser 2023(Nick) Policies-
Free Abortions for all
Abortions can be expensive, and because of that some woman cant afford them. Causing a child to live in a poverty ridden household. We can save this from happening.
Stem Cell Research- When stem cell research was banned in 2001, it caused a lot of researchers to lose their jobs. Not only that, it slowed many cures for incurable diseases. The most notable one being cancer. In our party we have a cancer patient, who is bravely spending their last years to help us fight for a cure.
Gun Control-There have been over 300 massing shootings in just THIS year. We plan to limit who can buy guns and why they can buy them. Making the processes much longer and make you more safe.
Minimum Wage-In 2023, we plan to raise the federal mandated wage to 15$ (currently sitting at 7.25$) We want to do this for better work environments, more workers and happier workers. We believe it will benefit everyone.
Abortions: Some people may argue that abortions are immoral and that the focus should be on preventing unintended pregnancies through education and access to contraception, rather than funding abortions. Others may argue that funding abortions is not the best way to address poverty, as it does not address the root causes of poverty such as lack of job opportunities, education, and healthcare.
Stem Cell Research: Some people may argue that the use of embryonic stem cells is ethically questionable, as it involves the destruction of human embryos. Others may argue that alternative methods, such as induced pluripotent stem cells, are available and can provide similar benefits without ethical concerns.
Gun Control: Some people may argue that limiting access to guns is a violation of their Second Amendment rights, and that responsible gun owners should not be punished for the actions of a few. Others may argue that limiting access to guns is necessary to reduce gun violence, and that stricter background checks and waiting periods can help prevent criminals and mentally unstable individuals from obtaining guns.
Minimum Wage: Some people may argue that raising the minimum wage will lead to job losses and higher prices, as businesses may not be able to afford to pay higher wages. Others may argue that raising the minimum wage will boost the economy, as workers will have more money to spend and businesses will benefit from increased demand.
Attack:
Tigers Government (Serenity) Policies-
We have all experienced pollution in one way or another, and other than the occasional act passed or ban inflicted, nothing has been done to improve these issues.
Thats where we plan to be different. Our party will work to eliminate the threat to our lovely home, and all of the creatures who live here. Our party will put money, time, and effort into making this planet beautiful and safe once again, and if you vote for us, we promise to work towards this goal with all that we have.
Our sponsors have paid us $850,000 to instate 50% off tacos on Tuesdays and continues funding for space exploration, we took these offers because, who doesn't like tacos and saving a pretty Penny? The exploration of space will help us grow and better understand the world around us.
We will crack down on gun control, by preventing the sale of semi-auto and automatic weapons. getting rid of a main contributor of gun violence, the guns. it's much harder to kill someone with a gun if there is no gun in the first place.
Pollution: While it's true that pollution is a serious problem, simply throwing money at it may not be the best solution. Many environmental issues are complex and require long-term planning and cooperation between government agencies, corporations, and individuals. Additionally, eliminating pollution entirely may not be feasible, and trade-offs between economic growth and environmental protection may need to be made.
Tacos and space exploration: While these may be fun and exciting, they may not be the most pressing issues facing our society. It's important to prioritize the most critical issues and allocate resources accordingly.
Gun control: While limiting access to certain types of guns may help reduce gun violence, it's important to also address the root causes of gun violence, such as poverty, mental illness, and a lack of access to education and healthcare. Additionally, it's important to ensure that any gun control measures do not infringe on individuals' Second Amendment rights.
The Debut (Michael) Policies and attack-
Policies- Hello Michael, on your website I could only find two policies about your party “The debut”. The first policy and I quote is to, “Legalize Marijuana for every one of the age 16 and above: we think it should be legalized because blah bla bla.” My first point according to NYC.gov is that “In 12 states, the use of Marijuana is illegal and in the other 18 it is illegal for those under 21 to buy it.” Already under federal and state laws does the unfortunate illegal selling of marijuana to teens occur, but if we lowered the minimum age to 16, then children could have easier access to marijuana. Do you really believe a 5-year-old should have more access to weed? My second point is that Marijuana affects the developing brain of a teenager. According to the Mayo Clinic, “Marijuana use among adolescents and young adults can affect normal brain development, leading to problems in learning, memory, coordination, reaction time and judgment. Excessive and frequent use of marijuana is associated with hallucinations, paranoia, and a range of emotional problems. The severe form of marijuana abuse is called marijuana use disorder. Youth who use marijuana at an early age, in high amounts and with the risk factors mentioned above are more prone to developing marijuana use disorder.” Do you really support the idea that our future generations could be affected by brain development, learning, memory, and coordination issues?
The next main point I would like to point out is a part of your campaign video and not a solid piece of text on your website. I’ll summarize the events of these few seconds but in those few seconds a black screen pops up with the question in quotes “Gay marriage?” Then from there it cuts to a screen of Aliesha and Michael walking away from an explosion. I’m sure you can clarify the point of these few seconds when it is your time to rebut but this screen clearly shows that you are looking to abolish or insinuate violence against gay marriage and therefore the people that are gay and or married. I would like to point out that Gay Marriage is protected under law when on June 26, 2015, the U.S. Supreme Court struck down all state bans on same-sex marriage, legalized it in all fifty states, and required states to honor out-of-state same-sex marriage licenses in the case Obergefell v. Hodges (according to NPR.ORG). No matter your personal beliefs, marriage is a human right that you have no right to take away. I would also like to ask a question, “How does gay marriage affect you directly?”.
Delta Ducks (Owen) Policies- Unfortunately it seems you only have one of your policies up on your page, “It's all about standing for what we believe is right and fair, for the future that we want for our world and the right of multiple countries to choose their own destiny, and the right of people to determine their own futures, or the principle that a country can't change its neighbor's borders by force. If we do not stand for freedom where it is at risk today, we'll surely pay a much worse price in the future. This should look like creating military and financial aid, keep miliary forces there for protection on Ukrainians. We could Welcome refugees from Ukraine and around the world to help the needs of safety in Ukraine.”
First, while it's important to stand up for what we believe is right and fair, we need to carefully consider the specific actions we take and their potential consequences. Simply providing military and financial aid or keeping military forces in Ukraine may escalate the conflict and put more lives at risk. It's important to work towards diplomatic solutions and find ways to support the people of Ukraine without exacerbating the situation.
Additionally, while it's important to support the right of countries to choose their own destiny and prevent the use of force to change borders, we need to also consider the historical and cultural factors at play in the conflict between Ukraine and Russia. Taking a more nuanced approach that recognizes the interests and concerns of all parties involved may be more effective in finding a lasting solution.
Finally, while welcoming refugees from Ukraine and other conflict zones is an important humanitarian gesture, we need to also address the root causes of conflict and work towards creating a world where people can live in safety and security in their own homes and communities. This may involve addressing economic, political, and social inequalities that can fuel conflict, as well as promoting peaceful conflict resolution and reconciliation efforts.

- We at Liberated United want to put in place minimum security requirements In schools and provide training courses for teachers who are put through a intense background check that allow them to be armed safely.
